Welcome everyone, thank you for continuing to support my hobbies and leisure blog. I just got off the phone with my sister in Amalfi and I cannot wait to go back for a visit. Living in the UK I don’t get to drive very often, and being Italian I love driving. I actually learnt how to drive by driving up and down the Amalfi coast with my father when I was a little girl (too young to admit to driving at) and since then that 50 kilometre drive has help a special place in my heart, even if it makes other people’s hearts skip a beat. For those of you who have no clue what I am talking about, the Amalfi coast is a 50 kilometre stretch of road between Salerno and Sorrento and is one of the sheerest main roads in Europe. If you are going on it for the first time I recommend getting someone to drive so you can watch the magnificent views.
For the real adventurous one out there, you can have an even crazier drive on the coast. Find a local in either Salerno or Sorrento that is going to the other city on a motorbike and see if they will give you a ride. As long as you don’t have lots of baggage than most people will probably take you along, and the trip is amazing. It will feel like you heart dropped all the way off the cliffs a couple times, but it will be well worth it especially with a Gopro on your helmet. If you are taking a trip to Italy soon, make sure to check out the Amalfi coast for the drive of your life.
